Naparima Lodge’s annual Creole Luncheon

19 Jan 2020 by Dev Ramjit

The annual creole lunch hosted by Naparima Lodge in San Fernando is happening now at Ruth Avenue, today, 19th January 2020.

The Temple at Ruth Avenue was a buzzing hive of activity as Naparima Lodge conducted their annual fundraiser. Over 450 lunches were boxed and served to a hungry public, which included friends, families, well wishers and first time patrons of the event. The resounding comment about the food was simply “delicious”, as Naparima Lodge members wielded their potspoons like culinary knights. WB Dadhibal Gopeesingh took on the mammoth task (as usual) of stewing 250 lbs of chicken, aided by WM Arnold Soogrim and Bro Dariel Pereira. This year, we have to give effusive thanks to the Brethren of Lodge Felicity, who not only donated 100 lbs of chicken, but also donned gloves and helped distribute! What a wonderful display of Masonic brotherly love and unity, and we hope all lodges do the same with each other.

Masons from all constitutions came out and patronised the event, some sat down to eat, and some sat down to drink. Some didn’t move till the absolute end at dusk (your truly as well).

A great day, and we at Naparima Lodge look forward to more!
